TDK94XTM
TDK 94XTM
incorporates the 1994 version of TDK/VAV, parts of the 1994 version of
the Liquid Propellant Rocket Engine Performance Program (LPP), as well
as foreign funded improvements incorporated in TDK 91XTM.
TDK 94XTM uses the standard JANNAF methods
for performance predictions of Liquid Rocket Engines. TDK 94XTM
analyzes and summarizes the performance loss mechanisms into four categories:
Combustion chamber losses, Boundary Layer losses, chemical kinetics losses,
and divergence losses.
The TDK 94XTM
is sufficiently fast and robust to provide performance predictions for
extensive parametric studies and sufficiently accurate to provide flowfield
and performance solutions for detailed studies.
TDK 94XTM
contains the following features and capabilities:
-
Uses a Two-Dimensional Method of Characteristics
solution with fully coupled finite rate kinetics.
-
Models chemical reactions with a generalized
reaction package that includes 3rd body efficiencies and four different
reaction rate forms.
-
TDK 94XTM
optionally performs flow solutions with frozen or equilibrium chemistry.
-
Provides planar or axially symmetric
flow solutions.
-
Supports both upper and lower wall flow
simulations.
-
Treats planar flow/external flow interactions.
-
Treats mass injection at the wall for
tangential slot injection.
-
Treats transpiration cooling at the
wall for any arbitrary injectant.
-
Models the Dual Bell configuration.
-
Incorporates a Nozzle Contour Optimization
(NCO) routine, which optimizes the nozzle including the effects of
the boundary layer and regenerative cooling.
-
Treats discrete shocks: attached
or induced.
-
Models equilibrium radiation heat transfer
for the wall.
-
Models variable mixture ratio profiles
from the combustion chamber injector.
-
Provides engine performance predictions
for axially symmetric nozzles, scarfed nozzles, and plug nozzle configurations.
-
Provides an extensive post plotting
package for flowfield visualization. Supports PostScript and laser
jet printers.
The TDK94XTM
code is available on the following UNIX workstations:
-
IBM RS 6000 (AIX 3.2)
-
Silicon Graphics (IRIX 6.5)
-
SUN SPARC (SunOS 5.7)
and on Pentium and higher PC platforms
using the Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0 operating systems. For
other operating systems, SEA will port TDK94XTM
for an additional fee.
TDK94XTM

Multiple computer licenses are available.
Engineering/Software support plans
available on request.
Approval from the U.S. Department of State Office of Defense Trade Controls
must be obtained before any of SEA's codes can be exported.
This approval process typically takes 90 to 120 days.
