MACE
The MACE 1/94 code solves the one
dimensional heat conduction equation, including mechanisms that control
internal decomposition. The surface boundary condition includes:
-
simple conduction,
-
sublimation, or
-
a generalized chemistry boundary condition
involving specified reactions.
In addition, surface material may be
removed by mechanical erosion. Since the code uses linkage files generated
by MABL and CCET, the input is a minimum. Auxiliary output is written to
a file which may subsequently be used as input to a plot program or a thermal
stress code. An interactive output plotting postprocessor (OPP) is
supplied with all versions of the code to graphically display the program
output.
The MACE code is available on the
following UNIX workstations:
-
IBM RS 6000 (AIX 3.2)
-
Silicon Graphics (IRIX 6.5)
-
SUN SPARC (SunOS 5.7)
and on Pentium and higher PC platforms
using the Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0 operating systems. For
other operating systems, SEA will port MACE for an additional fee.

Approval from the U.S. Department of State Office of Defense Trade Controls
must be obtained before any of SEA's codes can be exported.
This approval process typically takes 90 to 120 days.
